🌺☀️Amrita Australia’s Halls Creek (Kimberleys, Western Australia) OpShop Project☀️🌺 🌷A huge Thank You to the Canberra community for so generously getting behind this donation drive which was run until Easter Monday (check cut-off dates in different cities).🌷 Donations of clothing, manchester, bedsheets support the Halls Creek OpShop which supports community-led local initiatives.
🌺🌼We are excited to announce Amrita Pantry Canberra’s collaboration with Toora Women Inc and Communities@Work.🌺🌼
Amrita Australia’s Amrita Pantry Project aims to support people in need through donations of perishable and non-perishable food items, toiletries and other essentials to local community organisations that provide food and support services to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship.
🌷We launched with an Easter donation drive:🌷 hampers of feminine sanitary products, self-care products, baby care items, maternity and post-birth clothing, school bags, school stationery (and a special kids’ Easter hamper!) for the 50 women and 90 children supported by Toora Women.
Our collaboration with Communities@Work helps provide much-needed essentials for their crisis services and their pantries operating daily for a growing number of disadvantaged Canberrans. 👨👩👧👦🌻
🌼Easter Sunday Mother’s Kitchen Canberra 🌺 was special for us and the around 50 Red Cross Roadhouse homeless/vulnerable patrons. We served: herbed lentil Mediterranean couscous, hearty homestyle potato veg casserole, snow pea leafy salad, homemade Easter egg cupcakes and spiced fruity hot cross buns (handmade by baker Danny himself in Narrabundah!). Many came back for second helpings of everything…and the cupcakes brought many smiles! 🥗
🌿GreenFriends Canberra’s ‘Living Consciously Circle’ 🌳on Sunday 28th March was themed Engaging with Native Flora.
A walking tour and talk through the Australian National Botanic Gardens with visiting guest speaker Dr Steve Douglas (‘Adi’) opened our eyes (and minds!) to the natural offerings of plant species all around us 🍀🌻. Group Eco-meditation (among the Eucalypts and curious magpies!) was a deeply connecting start to the afternoon, bringing awareness and a sense of kinship with our environment.
Huge thank you to Adi and Nandini as we together took a (most enjoyable!) step closer to Mother Nature.🌏

👣👣Participating in the 9,000km of Love – you decide where, you decide the route, you can do walks/runs/cycles alone or with others! Guess where this walk was? Nandini and Pranati were excited to walk to Amma in a Labyrinth, before heading to the water where an enthusiastic swimmer joined them part way💛
