The Melbourne Amma Centre (also known as the Melbourne Ashram), founded in 2006, is located at Carrum Downs on the outskirts of Melbourne. It is well-known as a cultural and spiritual centre that promotes community well-being. Learn more about the Melbourne Amma Centre >
Currently the centre hosts a variety of cultural and community programs including:
- Yoga and Meditation classes
- Weekly cultural program including devotional singing, talks, video, meditation
- Scriptural studies
- Youth and Environmental programs
- Amrita Balakendra – fortnightly classes for children.
Volunteers operate off site programs for feeding the homeless and disadvantaged (Mother’s Kitchen & Kid’s Breakfast Club), helping the aged and environmental activities such as tree planting and clean ups. Learn more about local initiatives >

We stock a wide range of books, tapes, photos, CDs, videos and general information about Amma. Postal orders are most welcome.(N.B. A lot of the materials from AmmaShop.org are available from the Melbourne bookshop.)
