Swami Ramakrishnanada Puri has not visited Australia, apart from Amma’s tours, since 2002. After four years absence, devotees eagerly awaited his program of satsang, bhajans, and a Kalasa Puja in Adelaide, South Australia.

On Friday night, 17 Feb 2006 Swamiji conducted a function opened to the public at a Ganesha Temple in Adelaide.

About 140 people attended the program, some of whom had met Amma before, and some who are yet to meet Her on Her Australian tour in April of this year.

Many devotees took time off work during the day to set up the Ganesha Temple for the puja. Pots needed to be washed and set up in rows. Items like puja spoons with a ghee wick, flower petals, an oil lamp, mango leaf, kumkum water, and a placemat were set up by the devotees. A bookstall with information about Amma’s books, music, and products was also available for attendees.

After the puja a beautiful Indian feast cooked by Indian women from the Adelaide M.A. Centre was served to the participants. Swami mingled with the crowd signing copies of his latest book The Blessed Life and telling stories of Amma’s latest marathon darshan feats on the North Indian Tour.

A wonderful evening was had by all, with one participant stating that, “the beautiful peaceful atmosphere stayed with me all weekend”.
