Amma's 2010 Australia Tour: Retreat Information & Registration
This April there will be two retreats with Amma in Australia. We invite you to take part in this rare and transforming experience.

- Amma’s darshan.
- Devotional singing led by Amma.

- Selfless service (seva or karma yoga). Each participant is assigned around 2-3 hours selfless service (eg serving food) as part of your retreat experience.
- On the Gold Coast- Option for 3 nights on-site accommodation.

- An Atma Puja and Devi Bhava at the conclusion of each retreat which are open to the public
Gold Coast Retreat – April 2-4 (Friday-Sunday)
Tallebudgera Outdoor Recreation Centre, Palm Beach.
Tallebudgera Recreation Centre is located right on the beach at Palm Beach, on the Gold Coast, Queensland. It is Amma’s only beach retreat in the world and will provide an ideal atmosphere for the first retreat of the 2010 Australian tour. The centre is less than 10 minutes drive from Coolangatta airport and 1 hour from Brisbane.
There are two possibilities for your accommodation at this retreat:
1. On-Site (with accommodation)
Accommodation is dormitory style for Friday, Saturday and Sunday
nights. A pillow, linen, towel and one blanket per person are provided. There are 7 beds and one bathroom to a room. All meals at the retreat site are included.
If you wish to organise your own roommates you must register all together. Otherwise we will allocate you roommates of the same gender.
The only way we can have mixed gender rooms is if you organise to fill all 7 beds in the room yourself and then you must register all together.
If you are a family with young children please try to organise another family or other adults to share your room with you. Otherwise we will have to separate adults and older children into single gender rooms.
Please be aware that some people snore or have habits that may not match yours. If this matters to you, you should consider finding 6 other roommates or select the “without accommodation” option and stay off-site.
2. Off-Site (without accommodation).
You arrange your own accommodation and transportation. All meals at the retreat site are included.

Transport
Bus transport from Brisbane to the retreat site is available one way only. Cost $25.
If you require this service you must include this with your registration fee and check the bus box. Pickup will be from outside the Walter Burnett Building (Brisbane Tour venue) at 1.30pm (to leave sharp at 2pm) on Friday 2nd.

Melbourne retreat – April 8-10 (Thursday-Saturday)
Sandown Racecourse, Multi Purpose Room, Princes Highway, Springvale. 3171.
Sandown is situated 25 kilometers from central Melbourne along the Princes Highway. Regarded as the premier entertainment complex in Melbourne's south-east, it is easily reached by car or train. Both the retreat and Amma’s public programs will be conducted at this venue.
This is an Off-Site (without accommodation) retreat only. There is no on-site accommodation at the Melbourne retreat.

MA Centre will run a regular shuttle bus between these listed accommodations and the program hall throughout the retreat, except for those marked ##. We ask registrants with cars to assist by providing transport for those without.

SELFLESS SERVICE AT THE GOLD COAST AND MELBOURNE RETREATS
Each person is assigned around 2-3 hours of selfless service (seva) during the retreat.
This practice forms an integral part of Amma’s spiritual teachings. Please indicate when registering if you are available for any of the extra shifts.
SPECIAL NEEDS
Please specify any special needs or limitations which will be a factor in your seva assignment or room assignment on the Gold Coast. Note: all meals are vegetarian – unfortunately we cannot accommodate any special diets.
AMMA’S INTEGRATED AMRITA MEDITATION TECHNIQUE®
Amma’s meditation technique will be available during the retreats for retreat registrants with no additional fee. Born out of Amma’s resolve for the spiritual enhancement of her children, the technique helps to channel our energies, so that we can tap into the unexplored realms of our own talents. It also helps one relax both physically and mentally, and to lead a tension-free life. Please sign up when you register for the retreats. Registration for the adult course is limited to those 18 and older.

AMMA’S TOUR AND CHARITIES
Contributions towards Amma’s 2010 Australian tour are always appreciated. Funds raised cover the costs associated with the tour including airfares, hall hire and transport. It is through your generosity that Amma’s visit to Australia is possible each tour.
If you would like to make a donation towards the tour, or Amma’s charitable works your contribution can be included with your registration for the retreat.
CANCELLATIONS and TRANSFERS
PLEASE NOTE: There will be an administration fee of $35 per form for all cancellations and transfers (requiring a refund) . If you find after registering that you cannot attend then we must receive a cancellation notice (by email only) at least 48 hours before the start of the retreat. Cancellations after that time will not be entitled to a refund. Those entitled to refunds will receive them by end of May 2010.
WHEN TO ARRIVE
Check-in time is between 3:00pm and 6:00pm on Day 1. (There will be a desk in the program hall for late registrants once the program starts).

- We ask you to register as soon as you know that you are coming.
Last minute registrations place a great burden on the volunteer registration staff.
- Registration will be in the order received. If all spaces have been filled your name will be put on a waiting list and you will be notified if a space becomes available.
- No partial or one day retreat participation is available.
- Retreat registrations are not transferable.
- It is not possible to do work exchange for the retreat.
- No refund of any portion of the registration fee is available for late arrivals or early departures.
- On receipt of your registration we will send you a confirmation letter, which will include a retreat schedule and information about how to get to the retreat.
- Please do not contact the retreat site or their staff. All questions and comments must be directed to the M.A.Centre of that retreat.
