Sri Guru Peyarchi ( Jupiter’s transit) - 27th of Oct
Jupiter’s transit took place according to Thiru Kanida panchangam around 10 15 Indian time ( 12 15 Perth time). After getting advice from Madras ashram, we followed the day and time accordingly in Perth.
Beneficial influences by Jupiter : Jupiter governs Services, education, employment opportunities, promotions, financial prospects, children’s education, avoidance of disease, avoidance of car accidents, marriage, and begetting of children.
If Jupiter is not in good position they will find all difficulties in life, monetary conditions will not be steady. Obstacles and problems are seen in their life. They can reduce the ill effects of the planets by performing homas and pujas.
A Navagraha homa was organized between 10 pm Friday to 12 30 am Saturday at 2 Dulverson Place South lake. Nearly 30 people participated.
"Bridging the Ocean" Fund raising dinner for Tsunami Victims
The recent fund raising dinner for Tsunami victims held on the 11th of June in Perth was a great success. There was a good turnout (more than 300 people), in spite of the bad weather. It was a special evening with live music performances, raffles and auctions complementing the Indian Vegetarian cuisine. The evening was well appreciated by all!
With Amma’s grace and blessings, we raised $12,573.00 on this night. The City of
Cockburn Council
kindly provided the venue at no cost. The devotees and well wishers selflessly catered for the evening. Hence, we were able to save on major expenses and contribute $ 11,000 towards building homes for the Tsunami victims.
The evening began with a screening of the recent DVD, demonstrating the Ashram’s Tsunami relief activities. This moved so many participants and also raised interest in meeting Amma.
We would like to thank all the devotees, volunteers & well wishers for their hard work and dedication in making this evening a great success.
Immediate Response to Tsunami Relief Appeal We wish to thank all well wishers who helped raise $ 10,000 through various activities and donations, immediately after the Tsunami. This money was deposited in two lots on the 12th of Jan 05 and on the 4th of March 2005 in order to assist with the immediate needs of the victims.
Our sincere thanks to all the Australian MA Centers, volunteers & well wishers, who helped us to collect, pack & load the container for
Cochin
.
This container, which left
Perth
on 1st of April, was successfully cleared in
India
and the Ashram has started distributing items to the affected areas.
We are very grateful to A.S.BARR (Exporters of fresh Australian produce) for their generous contribution of providing and shipping the 20ft container at no charge.
